The story of the piece
Bottle green is a winter colour — deep, a little severe until the light takes the velvet. The embroidery keeps to a single band, from collar to hem: copper and cream flowers, hand-sewn, never spreading over the rest.
It is a straight, long caftan, worn as it is with a thin belt or with nothing. For a dinner, a December wedding guest, an evening that wants colour without glitter.
