The story of the piece
A short farmla, worn open over a gandoura or over a shirt and saroual. The ivory cording covers the whole piece in a tight, tone-on-tone scatter you only notice up close; the gold stays at the front — a column of aqad buttons, the braid, the picot following the edge.
